Change old habits to improve your lifestyle

We all have a responsibility to do whatever it takes to improve our lifestyle habits. Life is busy & stressful, but if we eat a balanced meal, drink plenty of water, get enough rest, exercise, meditate and pray, we can enjoy a richer life. By doing so we can help to eliminate some of our tension and worries. The worries and cares of life may not all disappear but by being in the right state of mind we can make conscious lifestyle choices.

 

Step 1 : Take a daily walk for 30 min

 

Walking briskly for 30 minutes a day can greatly improve your health. Some of the benefits include:

Increased cardiovascular and pulmonary (heart and lung) fitness

Reduced risk of heart disease and stroke

Improved management of conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, joint and muscular pain or stiffness, and diabetes

Stronger bones and improved balance, to help prevent Osteoporosis

Increased muscle strength and endurance

Reduced body fat.

 

Step 2: eat a light dinner

 

Eat a light dinner in the night, the human body does not burn many calories on its own. Avoid a heavy dinner so you can have a better sleep.

 

Step 3: Taking “Me Time”

 

Me time is about taking a specific time out of the day to relax and rejuvenate your body. We gain clarity of the mind and recharge ourselves mentally and physically. Your “Me Time should be something you enjoy doing just for you, like reading a favourite book, working on your garden, having a warm cup of tea by the fireplace or having a spa day. Whatever you choose should be pleasing to what your heart desires.
